[ week 3 ]

As I’ve said in the previous post, only on 2018’s third week I’ve decided to do the Dogwood.Photography challenge, so I’ve tried to commit with the previous weeks as best as I could.

For the third week I’ve got a “Give me green” for my Week Theme Challenge. At first was a troublesome theme but then I remembered my favorite shade of green: Sashimi’s eyes. So I went back to the photos I’ve took her on the first of January and helped its eyes color a bit with GIMP.

“Your inspiration this week is land. This could be a landscape, or an image inspired by the land in some way”

This week I haven’t merged my Week Theme Challenge with the Dogwood.Photography 2017 Challenge. Despite it was an easy one, I’ve decided to be a bit more creative about this week’s theme.

On the 27th January I went to Cabo da Roca, in Portugal, the westernmost point of continental Europe. There there’s a stone mark with the words of a famous Portuguese writer: Luís de Camões, I’ve also used as caption of my photo. In English is something like “Here (…) where the land ends and the sea begins“.

This isn’t a SOOC photo. I’ve retouched its colors with the help of GIMP.

Aqui (…) onde a terra se acaba e o mar começa” – Luís de Camões

The Daily Post this week’s theme was “Silence“. To cope with it I’ve chose a photo of a pace that inspires me to be still, and just appreciate what I’m seeing: Convento dos Capuchos, in Sintra.
